Suggestions to prepare for practicing yoga
To have a full experience, designate a quiet corner in your home for your yoga practice.
Inform others of your quiet time and put your phone away and in silent mode.
The more your environment is prepared, the more you benefit from your yoga.
Wear comfortable clothes; knitted fabrics and elastic waist are great options.
Use a yoga mat; available online, T.J.Max, WalMart, Target and many other stores.
Have a large towel or a throw available; you might find it useful in several ways.
You might find two yoga blocks and a yoga strap useful.
You might find yoga socks useful.
(These are special socks that are non-slip and have
individual covers for each toe. They are available at Target and REI
as well as online stores.)
Practice yoga on an empty stomach; eat at least two hours prior to starting time.
Drink a glass of water a few minutes before starting time and a glass of water afterwards.
Join online and get to your mat a few minutes before the starting time to settle down.
Turn your cell phones to a silent option.
If yoga is a new experience for your body, your muscles would appreciate a warm bath
after your yoga practice.
Combining yoga with brisk walks is a very effective healthy fitness program.
Please contact me prior to your first session. I would like to talk with you for a few
